The studio
Fresh Cut started as a tiny pop‑up stall with a bucket of sunflowers and a card reader that barely worked. Now it’s a small studio in the middle of the city, still obsessed with fresh color and easy gifting.
We keep the menu tight on purpose. Fewer options means better stems, faster decisions, and less waste. Most designs are florist’s choice within a palette, so we can use what looks the best each morning instead of chasing exact recipes.
The studio is led by founder‑designer Isla Chen, whose background in graphic design shows up in the way we handle shape, negative space, and color blocking. Think clean lines, bold palettes, and flowers that actually feel current.

How we design
We like arrangements that feel intentional but not stiff: clear shapes, strong color decisions, and enough air between stems so every bloom has its own moment. We keep things graphic and a little bit unexpected, but never fussy.
Photos on the site show the general size and vibe you can expect. The exact stems change with the season, but the energy stays the same: fresh, modern, and a little louder than traditional florists.
How we source
Mornings start at the flower market or on the phone with growers. We buy in small, frequent runs so designs are built from what arrived that day, not from leftovers at the back of the cooler.
Local growers come first, then specialty imports for things that don’t grow well here. We avoid waste by steering orders toward what’s in its prime, rather than forcing specific varieties that aren’t at their best.
